Press Release

Week 4

Momentum is a key element in sports. Once you have it, you don’t want to lose it because it’s a very difficult thing to get back. Only time will tell if Week 3’s results will be a turning point for some clubs in the OJMFLL

Division 1 teams head to Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium at 75 Balsam Ave N Hamilton, ON  . Games are split between the Stadium and the Brian Timmins practice field. Division 1 teams have two more regular season weeks to secure their seeding for either a bye into the semi-finals, or prepare for a round-robin showdown on Week 6 in Orangeville.

There are some absolute dandy match-ups this week in Division 2 as front-runner Peterborough tries to stave off this week’s opponents Mississauga and K-W. While these 3 teams battle it out, other teams will be looking at advancing themselves in the standings as well.

Division 2 games are split between 2 locations. There are 10 games on tap at the Civic Fields in Oshawa. Other Division 2 games are held at Kinsmen Park in Wallaceburg, which hosts a key game between London and Windsor as both of these teams try to solidify their position in the play-off seeding. St. Clair and Barrie are both still seething over the ‘ones that got away’ early in the season, as both teams surely want to prove that they are better than their records indicate. All teams will need to be wary of the spoiler.

Full schedules and play-off formats are available at the bottom of the main page at www.ojmfll.org.
